​​​​Shannon Hughes is a filmmaker focused mainly on directing. She has been dedicated to film nearly 10 years. As a freshman in high school, she took classes in cinematography and then continued her film education at The New School’s Eugene Lang College. She has directed a few dozen short films, music videos, and experimental work. Previously she’s been the Associate Producer for Sunday Sessions overseeing 25+ team members for over 60+ sessions.

With this, she is a freelance filmmaker working with clients and companies between Vermont and Manhattan, Shannon works freelance for Roc Nation, A’Court, Helmholz Fine Arts, Fast Company, and Southern Vermont Ballet. Shannon is also the proud founder of the Dorm Donation Project at The New School saving over 16,000 pounds of home goods from the landfill. Her efforts have been featured in The New York Post and she's spoken about sustainability at universities in Manhattan. Shannon's work reflects a balance of creative vision and social consciousness, driven by a commitment to storytelling that inspires connection, sustainability, and change.​
